Angelo River Village

Background

When approached to supply machines that complied with the highest mine site conformance standards combined with the harsh operating climate of the Pilbara, we jumped at the challenge.

The Viking solution

After successfully setting up a power station for the Rio Tinto West Angelas Accommodation Camp, Viking Industrial worked again with ATCO to power the Angelo River Village – a turn-key accommodation camp to service Rio Tinto’s exploration sites in Newman, WA.

Viking delivered a power station to supply the entire 120 man camp. Included in the setup were 3 x 350kVA Tomahawk generators and a 6,000L fuel cell to run the camp facilities, with the potential for a fourth generator shortly.

Our dedicated Karratha Service Team maintains the generators on multiple sites across the project along with 24/7 support.

“We recently purchased a fleet of Solar Trailers with a set expectation and design requirement for our remote site requirements. The team at Viking worked with us to complete the specification and orders. The fleet has been on the job for around three months now, meeting our requirements. We are looking at more units currently with the team and look forward to continued supply in the future.”

- Director, Construction, WA
