STANDBY POWER FOR TALISON LITHIUM’S GREENBUSHES PROJECT

Commenced in November 2022, the Greenbushes project in Western Australia is one of the world’s most significant lithium mining and processing operations, run by Talison Lithium. Strategically located near Bunbury and Fremantle ports, the site plays a key role in global lithium supply, requiring reliable systems to ensure uninterrupted processing.

Viking Industrial was engaged to provide critical standby power for the central tailings facility. Our team delivered two 1250kVA Tomahawk Cummins generators and a 20,000L fuel tank, supported by four 500kVA Tomahawk standby rental generators. Installed to act as emergency backup systems, these assets safeguard the facility against mains failures, ensuring seamless operations and supporting one of Australia’s most important resources projects.
